The protection and inheritance development of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) has seen the significant involvement of emerging media, playing a crucial role in promoting the widespread dissemination and fostering the protection and inheritance of ICH culture. Among various new media matrices, animated imagery has emerged as a formidable force in the past decade, playing a vital role in the protection and inheritance of ICH, showcasing the contemporary value of the development of ICH animation. Examining the current status of the development of ICH animation, there is a cultural, technological, and skillful integration between ICH and animation. This synergy generates a force for development, highlighting prominent characteristics in three aspects: content reconstruction, form reshaping, and the coexistence of values. Correlation Analysis for the Inheritance Pathways of Inlaid Porcelain Techniques under Rural Revitalization: Case Study of Chaoshan Region, China

Rural revitalization is essential for achieving the goals of a modern country, with culture serving as both a spiritual pillar and core competitive strength. This study focuses on the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of inlaid porcelain techniques in the Chaoshan region. Using Pearson and Kendall correlation analyses, this research investigates the inheritance pathways and related factors in Chaoshan, supported by literature reviews, field surveys, and interviews. Further, this study delves into the challenges and opportunities faced in the transmission of inlaid porcelain techniques and explores effective inheritance pathways to ensure their sustainable development. The findings indicate strong correlations between the transmission of inlaid porcelain techniques and modern educational training, economic factors, public awareness of intangible cultural heritage, challenges of modernization and changing times, familial inheritance methods, cultural protection, and intellectual property rights. Strengthening the training of artisans is crucial for the preservation of inlaid porcelain craftsmanship, and integrating traditional craftsmanship with modern business practices is crucial for promoting rural economic development and transmission of traditional culture. This research provides empirical evidence for cultural revitalization in rural settings, emphasizing that the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage should align with modernization efforts to ensure the sustainable transmission of this valuable cultural heritage. The study findings offer valuable insights for policy formulation and practice, facilitating cultural innovation and integration of traditional lifestyles in rural areas.

The evaluation system of outstanding craftsmen of traditional building construction skills based on the Delphi method

In recent years, with the deepening of the work on the protection of intangible cultural heritage, artisans and traditional craftsmen have gained public attention. Various levels of government have also introduced relevant policy documents to select outstanding craftsmen, aiming to revitalize the traditional cultural industry. This study utilizes Rost-CM6 to analyze the content of government selection texts, extract high-frequency words, summarize the evaluation requirements for traditional craftsmen, and use a two-round Delphi questionnaire survey to construct an evaluation index system and weights. The research concludes that the inheritance of skills and reputation are the most fundamental and important criteria in the selection of outstanding craftsmen; similar weights for indicators indicate that these nine selection criteria are the core requirements for outstanding craftsmen

This paper focuses on the design and generation of the virtual interactive exhibition space of intangible cultural heritage, aiming to provide an innovative path for the inheritance and display of intangible cultural heritage through digital technology. Through in-depth study of the connotation and characteristics of intangible cultural heritage, combined with AR augmented reality, holographic projection, motion sensing interaction and other modern technological means, the design and generate a creative, interactive and immersive virtual display space. Intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine: scientific and practical significance, structure, and development prospects


 
 
 Current objects of UNESCO’s intangible national and world cultural heritage (here-inafter – World Heritage) have been systematized and the list of nominees for the status of objects of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) of Ukraine has been expanded, which is considered as an option for partial compensation in the war and post-war period of resource and recreational losses countries; the fragmentary systematization of objects of ethnocultural tourism is reflected in the map-schematic and tabular elements of the presented material. The creation of a research center for the Azov National Park based on the University of Melitopol (Ukraine) and its joining with European universities studying the National Park of their countries is interpreted as one of the scientific and practical triggers for the protection, preservation, and development of the national network of National Park facilities. It is emphasized that the problem of protecting the World Heritage as a whole and ICH as its component is positioned as one of the key priorities of world, European, and national humanitarian development in the 21st century, and the constructive activities of the world community on the protection of ICH, the effective efforts of UNESCO in legal support of the outlined process are a significant factor in the actualization of state policy regarding the conservation and promotion of traditional crafts, folklore, art, and national cuisine. It is noted that the objects of ethnographic and ethnocultural tourism are a kind of benchmarks and beacons of the resource-recreational «fabric» of any country, which radiate the light of its spirit, national history, and culture. At the same time, in modern times of globalism and ultra-globalism, despite the positive dynamics of the number of identified ethnographic tourism locations, and the increase in the number of objects of intangible heritage, their chances of survival are steadily decreasing. Based on the analysis of the statistics of the recruitment of students for the «Tourism» specialty at the Higher Secondary Education in Kyiv (Ukraine) over the past 10 years, a trend of a constant decrease in demand for this specialty has been revealed.
 
 

Investigation on the Present Situation of Music Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia

The protection of intangible cultural heritage (referred to as "intangible heritage") is an idea put forward by UNESCO to protect human cultural diversity in order to safeguard the overall value and long-term interests of mankind. Chinese excellent traditional culture is profound and varied, among which music is an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture. There are four intangible music projects in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, but the overall level of inheritance and development is not high. The main problems are: the inheritors are seriously aging; The innovation level of "works" is low; Insufficient publicity and promotion, not closely integrated with the development of the times and the economy and society. Based on this, this paper puts forward several specific paths to promote the inheritance and development of music Intangible Cultural Heritage projects in this area: vigorously cultivate inheritors and support performance groups; Create new tracks that adapt to the development of the times; Use the modern Internet to publicize from the media platform and gradually realize digital preservation; Local colleges and universities should undertake the responsibility of "intangible heritage" protection and inheritance.

The Contemporary Transmission Methods and Education of Chinese Jinghe Opera to Address Current Challenges in Hubei Province

The objective of this qualitative research study is to analyze the contemporary transmission methods and educational approaches employed in preserving and revitalizing Chinese Jinghe opera to address current challenges in Hubei Province. The research site, Jingzhou City in Hubei Province, serves as the backdrop for exploring this multifaceted cultural heritage. Nine key informants, including scholars, practitioners, and community members, provide diverse perspectives on Jinghe Opera and its transmission. Semi-structured interviews serve as the basis for data collection, and thematic analysis follows to reveal recurring themes and patterns. The study reveals the historical significance of Jinghe Opera, its evolution, and the critical roles of supporting institutions, such as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and Yangtze University. Challenges facing Jinghe Opera, such as a shortage of original works and an aging transmission workforce, are discussed. Proposed solutions include fostering creativity, modernizing education, and establishing institutional support. This research contributes to the broader discourse on cultural heritage preservation and demonstrates the resilience of traditional art forms in a changing cultural landscape.

In the century when the oriental style is hot, the application of Chinese elements in visual design is increasing rapidly. Whether it is the need of consumers to pursue "cultural individuality" or the urgent requirement to promote and protect the national traditional culture, the integration of Chinese traditional culture is undoubtedly the next hot trend. The Chinese national culture is broad and profound, with many wonderful cultural and artistic treasures. Flower lantern is one of the traditional folk crafts in ancient China. Quanzhou flower lantern has unique craft characteristics, long history and rich cultural connotation, and is also a national intangible cultural heritage protection project. The main research object of this paper is based on the artistic characteristics of "needled boneless lantern". Through literature analysis, induction and extraction, design practice and other methods, this paper extracts and analyzes its historical and cultural connotation, art form appreciation, traditional pattern technology, and combines it with modern technology to explore and summarize, feel the unique charm of oriental culture, and form a diversified collision between traditional handicraft culture and modern brand design.

TODIM-GRA based multiple-attribute group decision-making technique for risk assessment of intangible cultural heritage tourism development under interval-valued pythagorean fuzzy circumstances

Intangible cultural heritage can be said to be an important component of tourism resources. With the rapid development of society in today’s era, tourism development and intangible cultural heritage protection have gradually attracted attention from Chinese society, and in recent years, it has attracted high attention from relevant departments of the Chinese government. Tourism development has a “dual” impact on the protection of intangible cultural heritage, with both positive and negative impacts. The risk assessment of intangible cultural heritage tourism development is a MAGDM problems. Recently, the TODIM and GRA technique has been employed to manage MAGDM issues. The interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets (IVPFSs) are employed as a tool for characterizing uncertain information during the risk assessment of intangible cultural heritage tourism development. In this paper, the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy TODIM-GRA (IVPF-TODIM-GRA) technique is construct to manage the MAGDM under IVPFSs. Finally, a numerical case study for risk assessment of intangible cultural heritage tourism development is employed to validate the proposed technique.

Assessing the Legal Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Saudi Arabia: A Critical Analysis in the Context of the 2003 UNESCO Convention

Saudi Arabia boasts a diverse and abundant cultural heritage that reflects a fusion of pre-Islamic and Islamic civilizations, serving as a precious legacy for future generations. Confronted with the challenges arising from globalization and rapid development, preserving intangible cultural heritage has become increasingly challenging, particularly in the absence of comprehensive heritage policies. The initial steps toward conservation were taken in 1972 when legislation was enacted to protect historical and cultural sites. However, it was not until 2014 that a new law was introduced to address the gaps left by the 1972 law. Unfortunately, this legal protection predominantly centered on tangible aspects of cultural heritage, leaving the equally important intangible cultural heritage neglected and unprotected. This study aims to evaluate the existing legal mechanisms in Saudi Arabia for the preservation and protection of intangible cultural heritage. It identifies the existing deficiencies and obstacles in the current cultural heritage framework regarding the preservation of intangible cultural heritage in Saudi Arabia. Our analysis focuses on how Saudi Arabia aligns with the principles and guidelines established by the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Construction of a first-class digital undergraduate course on “Decorative Patterns”

This article is a phased result of the first batch of the Ministry of Education’s industry-university collaborative education project in 2023, “Construction of a Digital First-Class Undergraduate Course on ‘Decorative Patterns’” (Project Number: 230803144265723). This article introduces in detail how to build a first-class undergraduate course in "Decorative Patterns" in the context of digital transformation, and emphasizes the necessity of improving the digital capabilities of professional education in the context of rapid technological development. The course aims to combine traditional craftsmanship with digital innovation, focusing on the art and design of decorative patterns. The unique characteristics of the course are highlighted, including industry integration, cultural inheritance, strengthening of skill base, and its role in intangible cultural heritage protection and innovation. The goal of this project is to connect education with industry needs, improve teaching quality, and cultivate high-quality, innovative, and technically proficient talents. The implementation path includes curriculum standard development, content modernization, resource digitization, teaching method innovation and comprehensive evaluation system. Finally, the article reviews the project's achievements in curriculum development, student employment, faculty research, and technological innovation in partnership with industry, demonstrating the project's broad impact on education and industry.

The Legal Protection Path of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ethnic Minorities Beyond the Framework of Intellectual Property Rights

For the legal protection of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities, China has basically formed a legal protection mode combining international legal protection with domestic legal protection, and combining public law protection with private law protection. However, the protection of intangible cultural heritage by the intellectual property system is concentrated in two aspects: creative products (works) based on traditional knowledge and traditional skills that have not yet been disclosed and can be applied in industry. The protection of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities is facing the dilemma of limited compatibility of intellectual property rights. Therefore, we should clarify the protection ideas of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities, go beyond the framework of intellectual property rights, and form a diversified protection path of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.

Globalization, as a significant trend in today's world development, is profoundly changing our way of life and cultural landscape. In this context, the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), as the essence of national culture, face unprecedented challenges and opportunities. ICH, the precious wealth of a nation, a region, and even all of humanity, carries the history, culture, and traditions of a people. However, with the acceleration of globalization and modernization, many ICHs are at risk of disappearing. Therefore, how to innovatively develop ICH in the context of globalization has become an urgent issue. The innovative development of ICH under globalization is a complex and significant topic, requiring multiple perspectives and various measures and methods to promote its innovative development. Over time, better protection and inheritance of these precious cultural heritages can be achieved, allowing them to rejuvenate in the context of globalization, better adapt to the needs of the times, and provide new impetus for local economic and social development.

Current Situation and Countermeasures of Intangible Cultural Heritage Talent Cultivation in Colleges and Universities

The protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is not only the responsibility of the government and the cultural sector, but also based on the "living culture" level to unite the strength of the whole society to protect intangible cultural heritage in all aspects, and carry out effective inheritance and development. Vocational education is an important base for the inheritance and development of non-heritage, which can train excellent talents for non-heritage inheritance in a standardised, scientific and sustainable way. As the top layer of vocational education, higher vocational colleges and universities should give full play to their unique advantages in the process of cultural inheritance of non-heritage and cultivation of inheritance talents, and continuously expand the field of integration with the local non-heritage industry, so as to fundamentally solve the problem of shortage of talents for the inheritance of non-heritages and difficulty in cultivation. The article introduces the current situation of the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents in higher vocational colleges and universities, analyses the existing problems, and puts forward the countermeasures for the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents.

Study on Countermeasures for Protection of Dietary Intangible Cultural Heritage in Henan Province in the Context of Rural Revitalization

Abstract Under the rural revitalization strategy, protecting dietary intangible cultural heritage in Henan Province is particularly important. This study explores the protection countermeasures of intangible cultural heritage of cuisine (shorted as ICH)in Henan Province to promote the sustainable development of culture and tourism. The research methods include DEA model, TOPSIS method, exploratory spatial data analysis and coupling degree analysis. The results show that between 2016 and 2023, the coupling degree of ICH and rural tourism in Henan Province increased from 0.4241 to 0.6917.Especially in Nanyang City, the development of ICH cultural and tourism projects significantly promoted rural tourism, and its level of rural tourism development increased from 0.51 to 0.98.In addition, the grey correlation analysis reveals that the market demand, technological innovation, business interests and policy support are the main influencing factors. The coupling and coordination degree of NGT and rural tourism shows an upward trend. The conclusion points out that the protection of dietary intangible cultural heritage in Henan Province needs to pay attention to market demand, technological innovation and policy support to achieve the dual goals of rural revitalization and cultural protection.

Chinese excellent traditional culture is the spiritual bloodline and unique spiritual identity inherited by the Chinese nation, with the continuous development of information technology, digital technology is becoming more and more mature, the development of digital dissemination of culture and art has now gathered a variety of energy, digital technology has become one of the important areas in the development of Chinese excellent traditional culture and art. The creation of digital technology and the development of traditional culture and art are bound to produce some collision, so how to find a balance between the two, and the two mutual achievement, is a problem worth exploring. Research on the Digital Inheritance and Protection of Yue Embroidery Under the Meta-cosmic Technology

With the rise of meta-cosmic technology and the increasing importance of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance, the integration of digitalization and intangible cultural heritage protection has become one of the hot spots in contemporary research. Taking Yue embroidery as the research object, this paper first introduces the characteristics of Yue embroidery and the current situation of its digital protection, then analyzes the application of meta-universe technology in intangible heritage protection, including the presentation of virtual exhibitions, real-time teaching of embroidery skills and the establishment of digital archives, and discusses the digital protection and inheritance methods of Yue embroidery under the meta-universe technology in detail. Integrate Cantonese embroidery culture with modern science and technology, put forward a new development direction, and promote the inheritance and innovation of Cantonese embroidery.
